China turning to Vitamin c?

This article is translated from one that appeared in China and outlines the way vitamin c may be used to contain bird flu in birds. I have read elsewhere that China is now one of the worlds leading producers of ascorbic acid with bulk prices that undercut almost everyone else.

Vitamin C and other antioxidants have a number of beneficial affects on the body and contribute to most of the body's systems. However, all of the vitamin C in the world (which by the way new research shows that megadoses that we normally take may not be effective) won't keep you healthy when exposed to a virus.

The late Dr. Fred Klenner was resolving severe virus-induced insults to the body with large doses of vitamin C. Some of the diseases resolved: poliomyelitis, acute viral hepatitis, viral encephalitis, measles, mumps, chicken pox, herpes zoster, mononucleosis. He concluded that any virus disease can be eradicated or at least controlled by the proper vitamin C therapy.

Yes, the chinese have finally realised prevention is better than cure, high doses alter the virus interest in human bodies as it does in some animal hosts
